ANN ROBINSON - Star of 1953 WAR OF THE WORLDS to be receive LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at Fireside Foundation's Dinner with the Stars.

Considered by many as the "greatest science fiction film of the 1950s" WAR OF THE WORLDS is one of those films that is not only a classic in its own right, but has been responsible for the "creation" of many of the genre films that came after it.

As a young actress of 17-18 years of age, Miss Robinson created a character that has become near iconic in the genre. Although she made films before and after, she will forever be known for that role and that film.

Miss Robinson, still an active actress seen recently in the Steven Spielberg version of War of the Worlds, will receive the Fireside Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award at the “Dinner with the Stars,” to be held at the Legends Cafe, 500 N. Carpenter Road, on September 23, 2005.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with a no host cocktail hour and silent auction. Dinner featuring Roast Baron of Beef, Chicken Marsala and Vegetable Lasagna will begin at 7:00 pm. Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased at the Modesto Convention and Visitors Bureau office at 9th and L St., Modesto or online at www.FiresideFoundation.com or www.ShockerFest.com.

STEVE WOZNIAK - co-Inventor of the personal computer and co-founder of Apple Computer Company to be honored at Fireside Foundation's Dinner with the Stars.

Named as one of the 10 most significant achievements in scientific history, the development of the personal computer, with its subsequent advances and refinements, has made it possible for the “average Joe” to become a “movie mogul.” Steve Wozniak, and co-founder Steve Jobs, are credited with the development of the first truly personal computer, and the creation of Apple Computer. Plus the MacIntosh computer is a standard for many in the film editing field.
For his hard work, creativity and the impact that this invention has had on society in general, Mr. Wozniak has been honored by many different organizations. The Fireside Foundation will honor him specifically for his contribution to independent film. Mr. Wozniak will receive the second Fireside Foundation Technical Contribution to Film Award at the “Dinner with the Stars,” to be held at the Legends Cafe, 500 N. Carpenter Road, on September 23, 2005. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with a no host cocktail hour and silent auction. MELANEE WYATT - Creator, Choreographer and Director of YES COMPANY to be honored at Fireside Foundation's Dinner with the Stars.

Involved with YES COMPANY (Youth Entertainment and Stage Company) since its inception 15 years ago, Melanee Wyatt has been called upon to perform nearly every role that can be imagined in the production of a Broadway stage presentation. From selecting the material to casting the performers, from blocking the performance to choreographing the routines, from finding the props (or building them) to designing and creating the costumes (and finding volunteers to help) Wyatt has been at the center of YES Company. She has been called upon by other cities to come and teach them how to develop their own programs. Miss Wyatt will receive the inaugural Fireside Foundation Contribution to the Arts Award as the Dinner with the Stars to be held at the Legends Cafe, 500 N. Carpenter Road, on September 23, 2005.
